In response to the global impact of COVID-19 and the significant changes it brought to various aspects of life, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of the pandemic using SQL. This analysis focused on several key factors, including the relationship between total cases and total deaths, and identifying periods when the death rate percentage was particularly high, especially in the UK.
I also examined the total number of cases in relation to population size, based on location, population density, and continent, to identify countries with the highest infection rates compared to their populations, as well as continents with the highest infection rates. Additionally, I analyzed the countries and continents with the highest death rate percentages.
A crucial part of the analysis involved evaluating vaccination efforts by comparing population size to vaccination rates. Using Common Table Expressions (CTEs), I calculated rolling percentages for vaccinations, and I created a VIEW to store data for future analysis.
